The second Music@MayLodge event on Saturday 8 th July was a resounding success despite the rather inclement weather. Approximately 130 people braved the thunder & rain to listen to some of my piano pupils - ranging in age from 4 – 74. The Choir sang whilst being accompanied not only by Matthew but also said thunder. Louise Sanderson, once again, gave up her time to perform as did David Hinde, Crescendo Clarinets &
Southgate. The Pimms tent proved popular as did the cake stall and the raffle was very well supported. All of this was in aid of the amazing charity Marie Curie. In total £1271 was raised and a cheque was presented to Val Dolan from the Marie Curie Driffield Charity. So, thank you to everyone who attended and supported the Choir at this event.
Next year the Music@MayLodge will be on Saturday 1st June, and we will be raising much needed funds for the Dwarf Sports Association.
